Giuseppe D'Aniello appointed as new General Director of the Club
Trieste, Wednesday, May 20, 2026 – US Triestina Calcio 1918 announces that Giuseppe D’Aniello has been appointed as the Club's General Manager.
The appointment was ratified at the end of the Board of Directors meeting, during which the Campanian executive, born in 1976, was also named President.
For D’Aniello, returning from his experience at Ternana as Operations and Management Director, this represents a welcome return, as he had already been part of the Alabarda organizational structure for seven seasons, from 2016 to 2023, first as General Secretary and then as Chief Financial Officer. His long and proven hands-on experience is complemented by a deep knowledge of the Giulian reality and a strong bond with the city.
D’Aniello: “I am proud to assume the role of Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Manager of Triestina, a historic club that represents an extraordinary sporting and social heritage for the city of Trieste and for all of Italian football.
For me, this position also holds a very deep emotional value. I have been living in Trieste for over ten years and have already had the honor of working for this Club for seven seasons: I know the environment well, the passion of the supporters, and the strong sense of belonging that ties the club to its city. For this reason, I feel this responsibility even more intensely.
I approach this role with great determination, a spirit of service, and a sense of responsibility. The goal will be to restore stability, credibility, and planning to the Club, working every day with transparency, professionalism, and respect towards fans, institutions, sponsors, and the entire Alabardata community.
A challenging yet stimulating journey begins, one that must be built with unity, competence, and vision. Unione deserves ambition, seriousness, and a strong structure, capable of creating solid foundations for the future. I wish to thank the ownership and the Board for the trust they have placed in me. On my part, I will ensure maximum commitment, both on and off the field, so that the Club can once again be a source of pride for the city and its fans”.
